Yıldırım Yapı
Istanbul construction & urban transformation
The brief
A trilingual site for an Istanbul builder working since 1990. The projects are a structured archive rather than a gallery: every one filed by type, province and district, so a visitor browses by where they are and what they need, in Turkish, English or Arabic.
Yıldırım Yapı has been building in Istanbul since 1990, across urban transformation, turnkey construction and residential and commercial work. The homepage counts what is standing rather than what is promised: six completed projects, one in progress, and the year they started. In a market full of renders, that is the more useful claim.
The projects are the architecture of the site, not a gallery bolted onto it. Each one is filed by type, by province and by district, and every facet generates its own browsable archive, which is why there are pages for Istanbul and for Yalova that nobody wrote by hand. A visitor who wants a conversion project in their own district can reach it in two clicks, and each of those archives is a real indexable page rather than a filtered view.
The services read like a contract rather than a brochure, because the questions are commercial. Build-for-share says the ratio is fixed in writing and no cash leaves the landowner's pocket. Urban transformation says the whole process runs under one roof, from risky-building assessment through to handover. Earthquake safety leads the priorities, which in Istanbul is the question a client actually arrives with.
Underneath it is a custom WordPress theme, not an off-the-shelf template: Archivo and Cormorant served as variable fonts from the origin, with latin-ext included so Turkish keeps its ı, ş and ğ instead of falling back mid-word. Turkish, English and Arabic are hreflang-tagged trees with the Arabic build mirrored into RTL, and the whole thing publishes 48 URLs through a five-part sitemap index.
